My name is George Martin. My passion in retirement is creating art, photography, and travel. What fascinates me is that every piece of art is different because we are all individuals with a unique way of interpreting the world. I can express myself freely and connect with others through creativity and artistic expression. I’d love to connect with you.
My Story
Art has always been my lifelong companion—a thread woven into every chapter of my life. From the first strokes of crayon on paper as a child to receiving two art degrees, creativity has been my guiding force. My love for art led me to pursue formal education at the University of Texas at Dallas and Richland College, where I honed my skills and deepened my passion for painting and design.

After college, I faced the harsh reality of financial struggles. So, I shifted gears and entered the world of high-end sales, and technical search consulting . Though I left my paintbrush behind for a while, I quickly realized that the creative problem-solving skills I had developed through art played a vital role in my success—whether crafting tailored solutions or fostering relationships with clients. This creative mindset would continue to shape my journey for years to come.

As I navigated through my career, my creative outlet evolved into photography. During my world travels, I captured thousands of moments—each photograph a frozen memory, a story waiting to be told. I was drawn to how photography allowed me to capture the fleeting essence of a moment, something painting could never quite replicate. Each photograph became a visual journal of my journey, a journey that eventually led me back to my roots in the visual arts.

In September 2024, after 33 years of running a successful technical recruiting business, I made the decision to close that chapter of my life. While the decision was bittersweet, it marked the beginning of a new and exciting era where I could fully devote myself to my first love—ART. My paintings are now inspired by the photographs I’ve taken around the world, reflecting the beauty, emotions, and stories from the places I've visited.

Today, I am living my dream—creating art every day. My goal is to share my work with others, offering a glimpse into the world as I see it: full of color, movement, and possibility. I hope my art inspires others to explore, to feel, and to look at the world through a new lens.
